Travel Information


The Fijian dollar has standard decimal denominations between 5 cents and $50. Anything below $5 is a coin and $5 and above is a note. Sums greater than FJD $10,000 must be declared to Customs.


The current in Fiji is 240 volts AC 50Hz with three-pin power points - the same as in Australia and New Zealand.


Passports valid for at least six months beyond intended period of stay are required by all foreign nationals.


All visitors must hold onward or return tickets and sufficient funds to cover stay. Permit/visa duration largely depends on these factors.

The resort has a pay phone (TFL), mobile phone coverage is also good and roaming agreements exist with many international mobile phone companies, although best to check with your mobile phone provider before leaving home. Local SIM cards for Vodafone, Digicell and Ink are available from the numerous phone shops in Nadi and the airport.


The resort has internet access and there are numerous Internet cafes available in Nadi.

Nadi International Airport is Fiji's main airport and gateway which handles 96% of total annual international passengers and 30 international scheduled flights on a daily basis.

Fiji Airways is Fiji's international carrier that has direct flights from Auckland, Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Narita, Hong Kong and Seoul. Fiji Airways is a full partner of the Qantas Frequent Flyer programme and has code-share arrangements.
